Brian Ernst '13
Brian Ernst sings baritone for Garden Level and hails from Lake Oswego, Oregon. Ernst is a Politics and Government major and a Music minor. He is active throughout campus working be it in the halls of the Music Building or the offices of the Associated Students of the University of Puget Sound. Ernst sometimes moonlights as a thespian. Incidentally, Ernst has a child-like fascination with airplanes and is constantly amazed at their beauty and grandeur.
Sam Faustine '13
Tenor and Soprano Sam Faustine, 2013, has been a member of Garden Level since 2010. Also a regional Badminton finalist, Sam's heart is split between two lovers: The Beatles, and Emma Watson. When not singing with his fellow gentlemen, Sam can be found bragging about San Francisco (which by the way, is the best city in the world), or perhaps found in China speaking Manderin, although very, very poorly.
Patrick Schneider '13
Patrick was born and raised in Homer, Alaska. He started taking piano lessons when he was 7, and has been singing in choirs since middle school. Patty started singing opera once coming to college, and continues to pursue choral and operatic singing along with a cappella. His life is pretty consistently consumed by some musical activity or another, but when not singing/studying, he likes to fish and go on long bike rides.
Aaron Altabet '14
Aaron Altabet is a sophomore with major commitment issues to free time. He enjoys rowing boats, hiking, and being a dork for transportation, succulents, and history. His degree title will have 26 syllables, three commas, and two apostrophes! In addition to speaking Spanglish, he can legitimately use the word "hella" as well as correctly place all three dialects of "bro" (bro, brah, breh) in a geographic context. When he grows up, he wants to run a natural history museum.
Jack Gilbert '14
Hailing from the oft-sunny and always beautiful foothills of the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles, California, Jack Austin Gilbert's experience in Washington state has been eye opening. Though he frequents fewer beaches, no longer "totally chills" with celebrities, and has considerable difficulty getting a tan, it was here in Tacoma that Jack developed his lifelong loves, music and mathematics, into something more than mere hobbies.
Jack can often be found skateboarding, sleeping in uncomfortable positions, frolicking in Thompson, or following his beloved Dodgers. In his spare time Jack enjoys writing, listening to 80s and 90s alternative, reading the news, collecting records and antique electronics, singing in two choirs, and exploring his underdeveloped artistic capabilities. Though its creation is not without obstacle, Jack hopes to found a CubeSat club at his darling University before year's end. Jack has been a fan of Garden Level since Fall 2010 and is endlessly excited to finally have an opportunity to sing with Brian Stoops and the rest of the bros.

Alex King '14
Alex, originally from sunny San Luis Obispo, California has spent the majority of his life in good old Monmouth, Oregon. His musical career began during his sophomore year at Central High School. He has been singing ever since. Joining Garden Level has been one of the best decisions that he has made in college. Nothing compares to singing some awesome tunes with some awesome dudes. He has dabbled in a little of everything. He enjoys basketball, acting, eating, a good conversation, and honest, down-to-earth people. Double majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics, he has a pretty busy schedule with very little free time. He is a proud member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and enjoys being involved with all that the Puget Sound campus has to offer!
Kyle Long '14
Kyle proudly hails from the beautiful state of Colorado, which is where he was raised all of his life until he took the perilous adventure to Tacoma, Washington. In his early years, he showed sheep and spent a lot of time in the pool. He may or may not have a strange obsession with Emma Watson. Kyle thinks regularly about how he would react in a zombie apocalypse, in fact he kind of hopes one will happen. At the moment, his favorite foods are avocados and kiwi. He is quite involved on campus and he has loved every moment that he has spent in college.
Brian Stoops '14
My name is Brian Stoops. But you can call me Spoots. I'm an adult. I sing bass in GL, and together with the almighty King, create a wall of doos and dahs below the staff. I'm a junior, and I'm finding it frightening that college is rapidly flying away from me. I'm working on a German major with a minor in Business, and though I usually teach a course in Beard Management through the School of Personal Hygiene, I had to take a leave of sabbatical this year, as my beard is not in season. I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do with the rest of my life with a German major, but I do consider myself extremely lucky to have found out at such a young, ripe age the three most important things in life: baseball (#Padres), eating, and food. Incorporate these things into your life, and successes are guaranteed to follow. For example, I've often been told that I'm at my best when I'm eating, because silence is golden. I've also often been told that I look like Seth Rogen. Seth Rogen wishes he was in Garden Level.

Emerson Quarton '14
Emerson was born and raised in the always beautiful Homer, Alaska. He is a sophomore/junior majoring in biology with a minor in music. Emerson loves to sing, and is a Sagittarius, so if you are as well feel free to hit him up and you guys can chill and do whatever it is that Sagittariuses do. Emerson’s loves are tide pooling, birding, and Kyle Long, but he doesn't get to do any of these as much as he would like to at school. When at school, Emerson’s spare time is consumed by baseball games, concerts, and attempts at growing a marvelous beard. Emerson feels honored to be able to sing with such a great group of guys, and looks forward to it for the years to come. Looking back, Garden Level is one of the better decisions that Emerson has made in school and life in general.
Cody Cooley '15
Howdy, y’all. I’m Cody Cooley. I’m from the small rural town of Naselle, WA. I’m a tenor lacking in any actual skill, but somehow this motley crew took me under their wing, and it’s been wonderful ever since. But seriously, singing has always been part of my life either in theatre or really any time I got the chance. I am a freshman at Puget Sound currently studying to be a counselor. On campus I’m involved in Garden Level, varsity cheer, Curtain Call and I work at Tech Services. And when I’m not doing any of those things, I’m probably crocheting or playing Pokémon. So that’s me in a nutshell, have a nice day!
Keenan Brogdon '16
Hailing from Silverdale, Washington, Keenan Grey Brogdon sings Tenor for Garden Level. Keenan is a Vocal Performance major at the University of Puget Sound, and he plans to use that degree to go into either Opera or Musical Theatre after graduation. Keenan wants nothing more than to be able to vocally perform for his career. When he isn't singing or acting, Keenan can be found playing video games of many sorts such as World of Warcraft, or watching the best show in the universe, Adventure Time. He plans to learn to play the bass guitar at some point, but goodness knows when he'll get around to that. As a Christian, he is also a firm believer in God. Keenan looks forward to being a part of the amazing Garden Level, and looks to a bright future with the group and with performance in general.
Brian Schoening '16
Brian Schoening is a freshman at Puget Sound from the Seattle area, and is proud to be one of the tenors in Garden Level. He has a background in acappella and started a men's groupat his High School in Redmond, Washington (The Y-Chromotones). B Schoens, as he is known to his music friends, grew up on Lake Washington with his parents, two older siblings (there is your shout out, Dan and Allison), and numerous cats! Outside of the music room he loves boating and spending time with his family and friends. Brian loves to laugh, and is a fan of Disney movies and Brian Regan's comedy.
Gabe Lehrman '16
Gabriel Lehrman is a freshman who, when away from the University of Puget Sound, resides in Los Altos, CA. Gabriel is a young, but vibrant new member of Garden Level, who looks forward to the many hours he’ll spend with these guys, messing around and singing. When Gabriel is not singing, he enjoys playing drums, going to concerts, talking to old friends, and making new ones. He loves to have a good time and is quite the stunning gentleman. Look out ladies!
